The JK Fenner SMSR HD PLUS-Shaft Mounted Gearbox is metric in design throughout and conforms to I.S.O. preferences. A SMSR HD PLUS-Shaft Mounted Gearbox provides a very convenient method of reducing speed., since it is mounted directly on the driven shaft instead of requiring foundations of its own. It eliminates (1) the use of one, and sometimes two, flexible couplings and (2) external belt take-up arrangements.
